Today is Census Day! We’re challenging you to fill out your 2020 Census TODAY to help shape your future.
You should have received your 2020 Census in the mail. You can fill it out by phone, email, or mail-in form.
** Your 2020 Census may show a Shawnee/Mission/Shawnee Mission mailing address. You will be counted as a resident of the City of Merriam as long as your street address and zip code are correct. **
Your Response Matters
The U.S. Census Bureau collects information from all persons in the nation using the 10-question form. You’ll have to count everyone who lives in your home, including kids and extended family.
Participation is mandatory, but your answers will be confidential. Information collected determines how much money Kansas gets from the federal government. Kansas distributes this money to county and local programs that likely affect you.
Due to COVID-19, the U.S. Census Bureau employees will delay going out in the field to track down people who haven’t filled out the form by the end of the month – so please do your part today!
