Two New Councilmembers Sworn In

Four Merriam City Council members take their oath of office.

There are two new faces on the Merriam City Council. Whitney Yadrich and Bruce Kaldahl took the oath of office at last night’s council meeting, joining incumbent councilmembers Jason Silvers of Ward 1 and Bob Pape of Ward 4. Yadrich now serves Ward 2 and Kaldahl Ward 3.

Yadrich and Kaldahl replace outgoing councilmembers Al Frisby and Nancy Hupp. Frisby has served on the City Council since 2011 and Hupp since 2003. Hupp also previously served on the City’s Planning Commission for eight years and the Board of Zoning Appeals for 10 years. The City honored the two for their dedicated service before the council meeting.
