The City of Merriam wants your input to identify the best use for the current site of the Irene B. French Community Center. To start the public process, the City is accepting applications for volunteers to serve on the 5701 Merriam Drive Steering Committee.
The location is an important asset to our community, not just because of its historical significance, but also because of its key location in downtown Merriam. The steering committing will help determine how to honor the site’s history while making it an asset for future generations.
If interested in serving on the steering committee, please fill out a board service application by Oct. 31. The application is available at City Hall or can be downloaded here. Before applying, please make sure that you’ll be available to attend meetings in the late afternoon or early evening over the next several months. The actual meeting schedule will be set once the committee convenes.
After applications are received, committee members will be appointed by the Mayor.
