The City of Merriam will start the Johnson Drive Improvements project on June 18. Johnson Drive will be completely repaved and construction crews will replace curbs, sidewalks, and driveway approaches from Kessler Lane to west City limits.
Starting Monday, westbound Johnson Drive will be restricted to one lane of traffic from Merriam Drive to west City limits through mid-July. Eastbound Johnson Drive is expected to be restricted to one lane of traffic from Merriam Drive to west City limits beginning August 9.

Starting on July 20, Johnson Drive will be completely closed for two weeks between Turkey Creek Bridge and BNSF Railroad tracks to replace the deteriorated roadway. More information, including alternate routes and detour maps, will be posted on merriam.org closer to this construction start date.
