COVID-19 Safety Measures*
The health and safety of our MCC patrons and staff continue to be our number one priority. Staff will go through daily health screenings and won’t come to work if they have a fever or other COVID-19 symptoms.
We encourage you to wash your hands often or use our hand-sanitizing stations throughout our facility and make sure you’re physical distancing from other patrons.
You’re required to wear a mask inside the facility unless you are on a piece of fitness equipment working out or in your assigned spot during a fitness class. Masks must be worn while in transition between pieces of fitness equipment and while collecting any equipment needed inside the fitness classroom. All staff will wear face masks.
In the fitness area, alternating pieces of equipment will be closed or floor markings have been added to meet 6 feet physical distancing guidelines. Floor markings have also been added to the fitness room floor to provide 10 to 12 feet between participants. Throughout the facility, additional floor markings have been added anywhere patrons may be required to line up.
MCC staff has a detailed plan to separate clean and used equipment – from the pens you use to sign any paperwork to weights, strength equipment, and cardio gear. We will frequently clean and disinfect our building and sanitize high-touch areas.
Child Watch won’t be offered until the State of Kansas enters the Phase Out stage of the Ad Astra Reopening Plan.
*This is our COVID-19 plan as of now, but we’ll make necessary changes as we evaluate the opening weeks of our new community center.
