High School Visual Arts Competition

Call for Artist

 


The 24th Annual High School Visual Arts Competition was created to show case the talent of high school students currently attending high school or home schooled in the Kansas City Area. Area high school artists may submit three pieces of artwork for consideration. The categories are 2D, 3D, Photography and Computer Generated art. Prizes are given to the top three pieces in each category.

How to Enter

Images
Artist must submit images of their artwork in JPEG format. Images must be smaller than 1MB or they will not be accepted. Selection will be made from images. Submit only one image per piece. Students may enter more than one category but they are limited to three total entries.  
Excel Spreadsheet
The following information must be submitted on an excel spreadsheet:
Student's First Name, Student's Last Name, Student's home address, City, State, Zip Code, School, Title of Work, Image File Name, Size of Work, Instructor and Instructor's email.

Submission
Images and excel spreadsheet must be submitted via Dropbox by Friday, October 30. Instructors should try coordinate submissions of their students. 

Delivery Procedure


Accepted artwork should be hand delivered to the Merriam Community Center November 14 – 27. All accepted works are required to stay in the art gallery from the day it is delivered until the last day of the show. No substitutions allowed!
